ABOUT ME
I live in Fort McMurray, a small city in northern Alberta, with my husband, our little boy, and our greyhound Sing. I love playing roller derby, playing video games, and making costumes. I also have to admit that I enjoy a good craft beer. I have been involved in sports
since I was 5, and there have been many! I've done gymnastics, martial arts, volleyball, wrestling, and roller derby, just to name a few of the longer standing ones. So I'm no stranger to sports and athletic training!
I love going over technique and making sure movement form is proper. This helps to reduce injury and maximize results!
I do fully online training! This style is great for people who want to train at a specific location, like a gym, but need a plan. Online training is a great way to get a personalized program without dealing with scheduling and location.
MY ROLLER DERBY LIFE
As seen in the picture above, I like roller derby! A lot! I've been in roller derby since 2011. Rotten Brotten is my roller derby name, chosen from a family nickname. My number, 6 is chosen from wrestling. Positive 6 points was how many you needed to win a match.
I play with my local Fort McMurray team and played on Team Alberta from 2017-2023. As well as playing, I also have a passion for coaching. I help coach the Fort McMurray practices and I was the head coach of the Calgary Men's Roller Derby Association Team, The Reservoir Dogs from 2018-2025. I took my coaching to the next level as as
assisstant coach with Team Canada Men's at the 2026 MRDA World Cup. This has given me a variety of coaching experience. Working with brand new skaters and rookie players in Fort McMurray, to Team Canada level athletes and competitive game play with the Reservoir Dogs. My roller derby coaching experience translates into my fitness
coaching as well, giving me the experience to work with athletes at any point in their athletic journey.
I managed to get my husband, who plays as Doug Drillmore, involved in roller derby in 2011 as well. Since then, we have both embraced the sport to the max! While we both
play and coach for our local teams in Fort McMurray, he also plays with the Calgary Reservoir Dogs and Team Canada.
If you ever get the chance you can ask him how he went from a non-athletic kid in high school to a national level athlete. Hint.. I helped a lot! I guess you could say he was my first client.
Enough about my husband! Let's get back to me. As I mentioned above, I am not a natural athlete. When I started roller derby I had no idea how to skate! If you look at that list of sports you might notice none of them involve skates, skis,
or any other equipment below my feet. So yes, I started with no skating knowledge. I took me probably about 7 months to pass the minimum skills, which was easier back then. There was no backwards skating on the skills test,
THANKFULLY! It took my another 2 years to learn how to skate backwards! So yes, NOT a natural athlete, but very determined!

WHAT PEOPLE SAY
Testimonials
I had an opportunity to train with Kim for a month after winning her Instagram contest. I was very happy with the experience! She was friendly, accommodating, and encouraging the whole time I worked with her. She took the time to really listen to what my goals and limitations were, and created a plan that worked very well for my small space and limited equipment. She was also very helpful in finding modifications for certain exercises when my old injuries impeded me, while still working on strengthening an area that needed some help. She also provided specific rehab and stretching routines to target areas I've had trouble with, which was much appreciated.
Even after only a month, I can feel a noticeable improvement in my strength, balance, and flexibility; no small feat while being stuck inside during the pandemic! I was really impressed with how the workouts remained challenging even as I became stronger or more used to them too.
Overall, my experience with Kim was excellent, and I would happily recommend her to anyone looking for personal training! (I also plan on coming back to her as soon as I am able). Five stars, ten out of ten, will definitely return.

Kim helped me prepare for my professional level ballet exam by improving stability and ability to execute on allegro/jumps. I didn't think cross-training would help so much, but Kim's thoughtful approach made all the difference. If you're an athlete preparing for an event, don't underestimate the extra oomph Kim brings.
